Webflow Publishing
Publish AI-generated articles directly from Agentic SEO to your Webflow CMS — the agent maps markdown content to your collection schema and creates draft items ready for review.
Overview
Agentic SEO integrates with Webflow's CMS API so you can go from data analysis to published content without leaving the chat. The agent generates an article, maps it to your Webflow collection fields, and publishes it as a draft — ready for your review before going live.
Setting Up Webflow
- Generate a Webflow API token from your Webflow dashboard (Site Settings → Integrations)
- In your Agentic SEO project settings, paste the API token
- The agent will list your sites and CMS collections
- Select the collection you want to publish to (usually your blog)
- Agentic SEO reads the collection schema so it knows which fields to populate
You need a Webflow CMS plan (or higher) to use the API. The free Webflow plan doesn't include API access.
How Publishing Works
The Agentic SEO agent has a publish_to_webflow tool that accepts markdown content and maps it to your CMS collection. When you ask the agent to publish, it:
- Takes the generated article (markdown format)
- Maps content to your collection schema fields (title, slug, body, etc.)
- Creates a new CMS item via the Webflow API
- Publishes it as a draft for your review
Schema Mapping
Agentic SEO reads your Webflow collection schema and generates a field mapping table. The agent knows which fields are required, their types, and how to populate them from the article content.
| Webflow Field Type | How Agentic SEO Fills It |
|---|---|
| Rich Text | Article body converted from markdown |
| Plain Text | Title, meta description, excerpt |
| Slug | Auto-generated from title or custom slug |
| Image | Featured image URL if provided |
The three Webflow API actions the agent uses internally:
| Action | What It Does |
|---|---|
| list_sites | Lists your Webflow sites to select the right one |
| list_collections | Shows CMS collections in the selected site |
| get_schema | Reads collection field schema for mapping |
Draft-Only Workflow
Agentic SEO always publishes content as drafts, never as live pages. This is a deliberate safety measure — you should always review AI-generated content before publishing to your live site.
Never publish AI content without review. Even with writing style matching and E-E-A-T guidelines, you should verify facts, check for brand alignment, and add personal experience before going live. Agentic SEO makes this easy by keeping everything in draft.
Full Content Pipeline
The complete Agentic SEO → Webflow workflow in one conversation:
“Find my best page-2 keyword, generate a brief, write the article in my voice, and publish to Webflow as a draft”
The agent chains: GSC query → brief generator → article writer → Webflow publish — all in one message.
This pipeline turns a single prompt into a published draft backed by real search data, your brand voice, and E-E-A-T-optimized structure. Review the draft in Webflow, add your personal touches, and publish.
